Some of the most engaging projects mix stretches of easy crocheting with enough fancy bits to hold your attention, and Sigrid crochet crescent shawl is just such a pattern.

Sigrid crochet crescent shawl is a unique shawl that features lots of relaxing striped half double crochet stitch interspersed with pretty lace in a contrasting colour and a decorative border finished in picot.

TIP: To view this preview video properly, please disable any ad-blocker you have running.

Made top-down from the center out, this crochet crescent shawl grows every row, resulting in a magnificent wingspan that you can wrap around yourself a couple times.

The stripes of half double crochet keep you engaged with minimum effort while the lace delivers effortless beauty for an elegant shawl with endless possibilities for everyday wear.

The curved crescent shape has a stunning drape when worn.

Pair this crochet crescent shawl with a light summer dress for a breezy warm weather look, or wrap this shawl around your neck like a scarf for added warmth in autumn.

Choose your favourite fingering weight yarn. Use a bit larger crochet hook than usually to create lacy, openwork pattern.

This crochet crescent shawl pattern looks the best when the stitches are loose and the fabric stretches well.

For my crochet crescent shawl, I used Kokonek Pure (100% merino wool), in 2 colours. Which yarn will you choose?
