It started on Pinterest. Pin after pin showed tiny crochet bags covered in little daisies, and I wanted a crochet bag pattern just like that.
Saving the pins and moving on wasn’t an option. I’m a crocheter, so my first thought was, I can make this myself.
The bag part was easy, just a simple herringbone rectangle. The daisies were the real challenge, because I wanted them embroidered.

My Herringbone Crochet Drawstring Bag
Want to know how those daisies ended up on a bag? Here’s my own crochet bag pattern, start to finish.
The body is one simple rectangle in herringbone stitch. You fold it in half and close the sides with mattress stitch.
The size is easy to change. More starting chains make it taller, and more rows make it wider.
