Work With Me

I’m picky about what goes near my yarn.

That’s why a product only gets a post on MyCrochetory after I’ve crocheted with it for real. Not unboxed, not held up for one photo. Crocheted.

If you make something for crocheters and want an honest opinion from someone who designs patterns every week, this page is for you.

A little about me

I’m Sylwia. I’ve been designing crochet patterns and writing this blog since 2018. Most of my patterns are free on the blog, and the ad-free PDFs are in my shops on Etsy, Ravelry and LoveCrafts.

My readers come here to make something, like a shawl, a cowl or a blanket. They read my yarn and tool tips because they plan to buy them next.

The blog gets about 38,000 visits a month (53,000 pageviews), and about 57% of my readers are in the United States.

You would be seen on Pinterest (27.4k followers and almost 1 million monthly views), on Instagram (8.7k followers) and in my newsletter (6.7k subscribers).

What I can do for you

  • Product test and honest review. I use your yarn, hook, tool or kit on a real project, then write a post with my own photos. You get my opinion, good and bad.
  • Sponsored post. If you’d like a dedicated post or a feature in my newsletter, we agree on it up front. It is always clearly marked as sponsored.
  • Pattern collaboration. I can design a pattern for your yarn or brand, like a shawl, cowl or hat, or a set made with an indie dyer. I can also write patterns for magazines and publishers.
  • Something else? Tell me your idea. If it fits my readers, I’m happy to talk.

How a product test works

  1. You write to me with the product and a few lines about it.
  2. If it fits, I say yes and we agree on dates.
  3. You send the product. I send you my address after we agree.
  4. I crochet a real project with it. For yarn that’s usually 2 to 4 weeks. Tools get a longer trial, because I want to see how they hold up.
  5. I publish a blog post with my photos, a link to your product and a clear note that I received it for free.
  6. I share the post in my newsletter and on Pinterest.

You can read the post before it goes live to check facts like names, prices and specs. You can’t change my opinion.

My rules

  • I tell the truth. If I don’t like something, the post says so. Free products don’t buy praise.
  • I label everything. Gifted products, affiliate links and sponsored posts are marked. You can read the details on my affiliate disclosure page.
  • I only write about crochet. Yarn, hooks, notions, blocking gear, books and kits.
  • I can say no. If it doesn’t suit my readers, I tell you quickly and kindly.
  • No guest posts and no link placements. Please don’t send them.
  • No AI-written text. Everything on my blog is written by me.
