This intarsia free crochet pillow pattern is worked in 3 separate pieces: FRONT, BACK TOP AND BACK BOTTOM. They are seamed together.

The pillow cover does have a buttoned opening on the back to take the pillow pad in or out.

FRONT

Using yarn A make ch61 or Fsc 60 and skip to Row 2. Work sc in each st(s) across to work rows from 1 to 60 according to below graph. Every row starts with a chain which does not count as a stitch.

The most important thing: 1 square is 1 sc!

ASSEMBLY

  1. Block all the parts of your intarsia crochet pillow to give them shape.
  2. Sew all parts together. First, place FRONT and BACK TOP together with right sides facing. With a tapestry needle and yarn A join wider sides of them together using a mattress stitch (or your favourite method). Then place FRONT and BACK BOTTOM together with right sides facing and join 3 sides around with a mattress stitch (or your favourite method).
  3. Sew 1 button beneath each button hole on BACK BOTTOM part.
  4. Insert a pillow pad.

I love the pattern! Want to make this for in my new bedroom in my own colours. Can I use an other yarn than Drops Paris if it’s the same yarn weight?
