- Yarn Requirements: Lace weight yarn, approx. 384m.
Suggested Yarn: Malabrigo Yarn Silkpaca, 70% camelid-alpaca, 30% silk.
- Hook size 2.75mm. Adjust hook size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
- Tapestry needle (to weave and hide yarn ends).
- Scissors.

Gauge after blocking:
After 9 rows triangle is aprrox. 10cm/4’’ high.
Gauge is not crucial for this project. However, changes might result in a different yardage requirements and the finished size.
Size after blocking:
One size, adjustable: 140cm x 58cm (55”x23”).
Notes:
- The pattern uses US Terminology.
- The shawl is worked back and forth, in rows.
- The shawl is worked bottom-up in one piece with a continuous border added in the round. Increases are made at the start and end of the rows.

Thanks for the response – I thought perhaps you had invented a new stitch! Other than that, I thought I was going mad,
I did purchase he yarn recommended for the shawl e.g. malabrigo silkpaca but I am finding it very difficult to crochet with – I see in the video tutorial you use a different yarn which seems easier to crochet with.
