The Beauty of a Bottom-Up Crochet Lace Triangle Shawl

Crocheting a bottom-up triangle shawl offers endless possibilities for customization.

With the Greta Crochet Lace Triangle Shawl pattern, you have the freedom to create a shawl as big or petite as you desire.

As you work on this project, you’ll witness its gradual growth, reflecting the beauty of a spring meadow.

Throughout the shawl, you’ll find delicate floral motifs that add a touch of charm and femininity.

Spectacular Edging for a Timeless Look

One of the highlights of the Greta Shawl is its exquisite edging.

With its elegant design and intricate details, the edging adds a touch of sophistication and brings the entire shawl together.

You’ll be amazed at how this final touch elevates the overall look, making it a true masterpiece.

The Best Yarn for a Crochet Lace Triangle Shawl

To ensure the intricate lace stitches shine, it’s crucial to choose the right yarn.

Opt for a lace weight yarn that provides a delicate drape and allows the motifs to stand out.

Our top recommendation is the Silkapaca yarn from Malabrigo. Made from a luxurious blend of silk and alpaca fibers, it offers unparalleled softness and a gentle warmth to the shawl.

Blocking for Perfect Results

To achieve a polished finish, we highly recommend blocking your crochet lace shawl.

Blocking helps the stitches lay flat and enhances the definition of the motifs. It’s a simple yet essential step to ensure your shawl looks its best.

        Dear Sylwia

Thanks for the response – I thought perhaps you had invented a new stitch! Other than that, I thought I was going mad,

I did purchase he yarn recommended for the shawl e.g. malabrigo silkpaca but I am finding it very difficult to crochet with – I see in the video tutorial you use a different yarn which seems easier to crochet with.

        Kind regards
        Lynne

    Hi Sylwia

Can you please tell me why the dc2tog written instruction states to repeat twice and why you pull through 4 loops when the tutorial only repeats once and you then pull through 3 loops not 4!
dc2tog (double crochet 2 together) – [yo, insert hook in indicated st, yo, draw up a loop, yo, pull through 2 loops] rep […] twice, yo, pull through all 4 loops on hook.

Thanks for pointing out the mistake in the dc2tog (double crochet 2 together) instructions. You’re correct that it should be 3 loops on the hook, not 4. I’m sorry for the confusion. I’ll fix the instructions. If you have any more questions, just let me know.
